About DemandRefund
DemandRefund helps you ask for your money back properly. You name the business or paste a receipt. It finds who handles billing at that company, then writes the email and the phone script that ask for a specific refund by a specific date. You send it yourself, from your own email.
The three rules it follows
Never guess a contact. Every address and phone number it shows was read on the business's own pages or in the receipt you pasted, and it tells you which page. A made-up billing@ address looks convincing and goes nowhere, which is worse than no answer.
Never invent a fact. The writer only uses the facts in your case file. Anything it doesn't know becomes a [bracket] for you to fill in, and the app warns you before you send.
Never invent a law. Consumer rules come from a short, checked list (card billing disputes, online subscription law, airline refunds, EU, UK and Australian consumer rights), each linked to its official source. If none fits your facts, the email cites none.
How the contact lookup works
When you start a case, our server visits the business's public website the way a browser would: the home page and the usual contact, support, help, billing, refund, privacy and terms pages, plus a few help-centre pages they link to. It pulls out email addresses, phone numbers and contact forms, drops the ones that won't help (press, jobs, sales, no-reply), ranks billing and refund addresses first, and checks that each email domain accepts mail. Results for a business are kept for a week.
It also spots when a store or reseller took your payment, like the App Store, Google Play or Paddle, because then the store issues the refund, not the brand.
What it isn't
It isn't a law firm and doesn't give legal advice. It doesn't contact businesses for you or take a cut of what you get back. It writes a clear request and points you at the right door.
